1. General betting conditions
Casinova provides betting services subject to applicable Australian laws, regulatory requirements and its published terms. These rules apply to bets placed through the website, mobile services or any other approved betting channel made available by Casinova. Different products, markets or competitions may have additional rules. Where a product-specific rule applies, it should be read together with these general rules.
Table of contents
You must be legally permitted to use betting services in your location and must provide accurate information when opening or using an account. Casinova may carry out identity, age, location, financial or other checks before allowing account access, processing transactions or paying winnings. An account must only be used by the registered account holder. You must keep your login details private and notify Casinova if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
Betting is an activity involving risk. No bet is guaranteed to win, and past results, statistics or promotional information do not predict future outcomes. You should only bet with money you can afford to lose. Casinova may refuse, restrict, suspend or cancel betting activity where this is necessary to comply with the law, protect the platform or apply these rules.
- You must meet the minimum legal age and any other eligibility requirements that apply to the service.
- You must not use another person's account, payment method or personal information without proper authority.
- You must not use the service for unlawful purposes, fraud, money laundering, manipulation or any other prohibited activity.
- You must not attempt to interfere with the website, betting systems, settlement processes or security controls.
- You are responsible for reviewing the details of a bet before confirming it.
2. Placing and accepting bets
A bet is normally submitted by selecting a market, outcome, stake and any other required options, then confirming the bet. A bet is not accepted merely because it has been entered, displayed or submitted. Acceptance occurs only when the bet has been recorded by Casinova's betting system. Where available, an account history, confirmation message or bet reference may show that a bet has been accepted.
You should check the event, market, selection, odds, stake, possible return and bet type before confirming. Once accepted, a bet cannot normally be changed or withdrawn unless a specific rule, feature or applicable law allows this. If a bet has not been accepted, it may be rejected, delayed or removed from a bet slip without creating a valid wager.
Displayed odds, lines, prices, handicaps and other market information may change before a bet is accepted. If the service presents a change notification, you may be asked to accept the revised terms before the bet is submitted. A bet may be voided or adjusted if it was accepted because of an obvious error, technical fault, incorrect market information or a system issue, subject to applicable law and the relevant product rules.
Casinova may set or apply minimum and maximum stakes, market limits, account limits or other controls. These controls may vary by product, event, account activity or legal requirement. The availability of a market does not guarantee that it will remain open until the event starts. Markets may be suspended, closed or changed at any time where circumstances require it.
- Choose the relevant sport, event or betting product.
- Review the market and selection carefully.
- Enter the stake and check the displayed details.
- Confirm the bet only when the information is correct.
- Retain the confirmation or reference shown in your account where available.
3. Events, results and settlement
Bets are settled using the official result or other recognised result source for the relevant event. The result may be based on the result declared at the venue, by the governing body, by an official competition organiser or by another reliable source specified for the market. A result may be corrected after initial publication if the relevant authority changes or clarifies it. Unless a product rule states otherwise, a later correction may affect settlement.
The rules for postponements, abandoned events, cancellations, venue changes, format changes, player or participant withdrawals and incomplete events can differ between markets. In these circumstances, a bet may be settled under the applicable market rules or declared void. A related bet, such as a multi or combination bet, may be affected if one selection is void, and the remaining selections may be settled under the relevant rules.
For live or in-play betting, information may be delayed and markets may be suspended while an event is in progress. A bet placed after a material event, but before that event is reflected in the system, may be reviewed or voided where the market was incorrectly available or the price was clearly wrong. You are responsible for considering the possibility of delays before placing a live bet.
If a bet is settled incorrectly because of an error, technical issue or inaccurate result, Casinova may correct the settlement in accordance with the applicable rules and law. If an amount has been credited or paid in error, the account holder may be required to return it or Casinova may recover it from available funds, where permitted.
- A selection that wins under the applicable result rules may receive the relevant return.
- A losing selection normally receives no return.
- A void selection is generally treated according to the specific market or combination rules.
- A postponed, abandoned or cancelled event may be void or settled under a special event rule.
- An obvious pricing or description error may result in correction or cancellation under the applicable terms.
4. Account records, disputes and responsible betting
Your account history is the primary record of bets placed through your account. You should review it regularly and raise any suspected error as soon as possible. When contacting Casinova about a bet, include the relevant bet reference, event, market, date and a clear explanation of the issue. Casinova may review system records, event information, account activity and other relevant material before making a decision.
If you disagree with a settlement or account decision, you may request a review through the available support or complaints process. Reviews are handled in accordance with applicable law, internal procedures and any relevant regulatory requirements. A complaint does not automatically change the settlement of a bet, and you should not assume that a disputed amount is available for withdrawal until the review is complete.
Casinova supports informed and responsible betting. Betting should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to earn income or recover losses. Set a budget before you start and avoid increasing your stake because of a previous loss. Take regular breaks, keep track of your activity and do not bet while affected by alcohol, drugs, strong emotions or financial pressure.
- Set personal deposit, spending, time or loss limits where those tools are available.
- Use time-outs or account breaks if you need distance from betting.
- Consider self-exclusion if you want to prevent access for a longer period.
- Do not chase losses or borrow money to place bets.
- Seek independent support if betting is affecting your finances, relationships, work or wellbeing.
- Contact Casinova through the available support channel if you need information about responsible gambling tools.
These Betting Rules are intended as general information and may not cover every market or situation. Product-specific rules, the Terms and Conditions and applicable Australian requirements may apply. If there is an inconsistency, the applicable legal requirement and the more specific rule for the relevant product will generally take priority. Casinova may update these rules when required, and the current version should be reviewed before placing a bet.
